Development of an electronic record system to be used primarily by medical facilities.
A massive undertaking that took three years to complete. The project aimed to streamline and automate business processes by creating an electronic record system with two-factor authentication. The software would allow users to manage content for acute care hospitals, nursing facilities, subacute facilities, LTACHs, rehab hospitals, and CCRSs.
One of the challenges of the project was dealing with the existing legacy system, which was hard to update and maintain because of its outdated architecture and design. The current system suffered from multiple problems, including poor performance, lack of offline functionality, and the use of technologies that are no longer updated or maintained.
The solution was to migrate the legacy source code to a cloud environment and transform it from a desktop application to a web-based application. Changes were made to enhance system stability and reliability. A mobile version of the application also went live after the updates.
The main technologies we utilized to complete the project.
As a result, documentation time plummeted in the new system while retaining user functionality throughout the project. Currently, mobile web and desktop versions are being actively operated by end-users in more than 100 rehabilitation centers all over the United States.
