Challenge
Adexin’s main task was the development of iOS and Android solutions for delivery support. One of the main challenges was the quality improvement of overhead scans performed by truckers using mobile devices. Often the quality of the scanned documents did not meet the needs of these third-party payment systems, which resulted in delays and inefficiencies. Moreover, the solution needed to be cost-effective.
Solution
The solution was researching and testing various options using custom software development and open-source libraries to enhance mobile scanning capabilities. The course of action included several image quality enhancing features like document and edge detection, automatic cropping, perspective transformation, contrast adjustment, and conversion to pure black and white.
